Enjoy this day! We will start early in the morning, pick you up from your hotel and drive for approximately 3 hours to Mollepata, where we will stop for breakfast at the Peru Ecocamp restaurant. After this stop, we will continue for another 30 minutes to Soraypampa, our starting point. We will walk for about an hour and a half to reach the iconic viewpoint to see the Humantay Lake.
The return will follow the same route, approximately 3 hours round trip. Enjoy lunch at the same Ecocamp restaurant, prepared with local natural products. After a short rest, it is time to return to Cusco.
This incredible day will start around 4 am in the morning, we know, it is a bit early but we can assure you that it will be totally worth it.
We will drive to Mollepata for about 3 hours approximately. During this drive, you will be able to enjoy the scenery or simply take a nap to regain your strength. After this drive, we will arrive at the Peru Ecocamp restaurant. This is one of the most charming places with high quality standards, so this is the one chosen for our meals. You will be able to enjoy Peruvian dishes with local products and rest a little before starting the hike. We have 30 more minutes left! From Mollepata, we will head to Soraypampa, a small town where this hike begins.
After having some instructions and the poles ready, we can finally start walking for an hour and a half to the main viewpoint. This trail is a bit steep but there is nothing we can’t do. To make this trip even better, nature will greet us with breathtaking views, sacred mountains and pristine glaciers that show us that we are no longer in the crowded city. Our guide will give us strength to continue and give us some historical information about the place. Once we arrive, we will be more than happy to be here we finally made it!
Time for selfies! We will have free time to take pictures or simply admire the area. Once we are ready, lunch time awaits us. We will walk back down for an hour and a half, our descent will be easier, don’t worry!
Once in Peru Ecocamp, with a full stomach, it is now time to return to our hotels with lots of memories to share.
